iHome iH52

The iHome iH52 is an attractively styled iPod Speaker that has full size sound for such a compact system. The device comes with detached satellite speakers and a subwoofer, which offers better stereo separation and deeper bass. The iH52 also has important extras that really make this a very versatile device. Plus like other iHome systems, this is an extremely easy to use audio device.

Versatility at its Best

Even with such a compact size, the iHome iH52 packs a mean punch. You can listen to your iPod products and it has a built-in adjustable dock insert allows charging of both iPod and 1st Generation Shuffle. The iH52 also has important extras such as a built-in AM/FM radio, video outputs for displaying iPod video and still images on your TV, a sync cable port, and a line input for other audio devices. In addition to the system-wide audio connections, iH52's dock includes a iPod Dock Connector port for computer synchronization, and two different video outputs - composite and S-Video.

Excellent Sound

Sound is second to none with this system. A Subwoofer and 2 speakers with 32 watts total power offers better stereo separation and deeper bass producing crisp, clean sound. The sound quality is also enhanced by its stereo separation and staging, which benefits substantially from user-adjustable speaker locations, and the mid-range performance. There are five total equalizer settings - "flat," "rock," "jazz," "pop," and "R&B", which further enhance your music pleasure.

Easy Listening Pleasure

The included, color-matched remote control features iPod and radio controls. The iPod controls are laid out in a simple pattern like the iPod shuffle; a mute button turns off the speakers, while other buttons access the auxiliary input, radio, presets, settings, and display features. The display button allows users the ability to use either the iPod's screen and controls up close, or iH52's larger, menu-less screen and controls from a distance. The iHome iH52 clock is large enough to be read from a distance. The screen also shows radio tuning and iPod indicators depending on the mode you're in, each also easy to read from a distance.
